After the rocking Baisakhi Bhangra Party — It’s time to bridge the gap between Africa & India with a unique theme.

A global bass dance party dedicated to unity!

At a time when so much seems to divide us, we look to music from across the world as a way to unite once more. On the dance floor, where you come from and where you’re going ceases to matter; all that matters is the here and the now.

Friday, June 1st

San Francisco, 94103

DJ CLAUDE (San Francisco)

Dj Claude aka “Le Black Bangando” was born and raised in Gabon, a small country located in the central and west part of Africa. As a child, his parents used to play songs from well known Congolese artists such as Franco, Tabuley Rochero, Mbilia Bell, Papa Wemba,  Tshala Muana and others. Congolese Rumba, Soukouss and Ndombolo were the music genres these artists were known for. Thus, DJ Claude started being influenced by Congolese music, and later on by another African music genre called Afrobeat, which was brought to his attention by Fela Kuti of Nigeria.  Since then, Dj Claude has extended his love for music in other areas such as Soca, Reggae, Dance hall, Regaeton, Salsa, Merengue and more. He is resident dj at Bissap Baobab in San Francisco where he has been playing for about ten years, and also resident dj at Au Lounge in Oakland where he is one of the founders of the Mondial Afrique party which happens every Friday night.  Dj Claude has played at events such as the Umoja Festival in Oakland, and the San Francisco Carnival, which both happen every year.  Check out his works and music HERE

Mix master Vaibhav aka DJ Vee is the resident DJ of the Jai Ho! Dance Party in Bay Area, he passionately curates Bollywood & Electronic Dance Music to present a cutting edge sound with a quintessential Indian soul.
