I’m glad for this experience as it really broadened my music horizon. I listened to everything from Hip-hop\, to Rock to Calypso to Zouk to Old-School Bon Jovi. Born and raised in Seattle\, Equis grew up listening to Kube93 as well as being around various family members who were DJs and musicians themselves. He ultimately fell in love with hip hop’s ability to transport him into the stories being told through rhyme. At a young age\, he moved to Mexico for a few years where he was taught how to DJ by his cousins.
