▶︎ Bollywood Thriller is a fusion choreography & a killer Jai Ho! Dance Party hosted by DJ Prashant.
▶︎ You will learn this fun & energetic choreography in a 2-hour workshop.
▶︎ At the end of the workshop, you will be able to perform the full choreography after our step-by-step practice.
✅ There will be an opportunity to flashmob this dance on Saturday, October 14th at the Oddfellows Hall for the Orcas Island Film Festival’s Bollywood Disco Bash.

CONCEPT:
Imagine an Indian wedding gone awry as the joyful celebration takes a turn for the worst with a blast that transforms all attendees into zombies, smack in the middle of the rituals! This is the dropback on which choreographer & DJ Prashant set the Bollywood Thriller dance with help from Jai Ho! Dance Troupe lead Brittany Newton. What started in 2011 as a performance to a musical mashup of a Bollywood wedding song & Michael Jackson’s Thriller has transformed into a sub-culture over the years.

Prashant is an ex-Intel engineer turned DJ, choreographer, singer, and community organizer in Portland, Oregon. His personality and charisma instantly strike a chord with audiences of any age or background.
He is known for an enthralling DJ set with interactive dance lessons and performances seamlessly woven into an irresistible blend of the world’s greatest dance music. His agenda is simple – bring community and cultures together to create connections on the dance floor, and get you dancing longer, and harder than you ever thought possible!
