Originally from Mumbai, India, Prashant is an ex-Intel engineer turned DJ and community organizer based out of Portland, Oregon. He founded Jai Ho! Dance Party in 2010 and Dance United in 2017, and tours them at nightclubs across the US on a regular basis.

Prashant’s effervescent personality and charisma instantly strike a chord with an audience of any age group or background. He is known for an open format DJ set highlighted by interactive dance lessons that compel everybody to rock the dance floor to an irresistible blend of the world’s greatest dance music.

Expect a dance party he is at to transform into a full-fledged Bollywood musical complete with synchronized dance moves by all attendees.

KRISTA BASIS:

Portland DJ Krista Basis (Broad Beats PDX/No Requests) brings her signature bounce to sets that include house, disco, tech and deep house, translating an intrinsic connection with music into her journey as a music selector for the dance floor.

Over the last couple of years she has become a fixture in the Portland house scene. She has played at clubs all around Portland and festivals up and down the west coast. This past year she has opened for DJ Heather, Doc Martin, Miguel Migs, Steve Bug among other talented national DJs. When she’s not dancing behind the decks she’ll be shaking it with you on the dance floor.

ARIA TAU:

Aria is a DJ/Producer who has just released her first single, Just Let it Flow. Her ethereal vocals, set over worldly afrotech, progressive, and melodic techno take you on a spiritual journey that is deeply moving, emotive and uplifting. Her lyrics are soulful and raw and speak of healing and connection.

She is the founder of Sacred Waters, a collective of high-vibration musicians that host transformative musical and healing events. Aria is the curator of the Shakti Stage and the visionary behind the Temple Lounge party series.

Aria is a 5th generation South African with Eastern heritage. As a woman of color with a story marked by oppression, resilience and finding the courage to follow her dreams, she is breaking new ground in the Portland’s music community, bringing a unique perspective, sound and energy to her dancefloors.

MIENNE:

Mienne has always been a performance artist. Her involvement in underground dance culture began more than a decade ago, initially as a belly dancer and event producer, where her natural sense of movement and rhythm – and desire to share her artistic passion – translated gracefully into her journey as a DJ. Her Libran love of balance (and variety!) makes her uniquely adept at setting a sonic scene that elicits journeys across desert tundra, through the expansiveness of space, and SPLAT onto a jiggling subwoofer. Whether it’s G-house or West Coast Bass, you can expect to see smiling faces and feel your booty wiggle.

Says Mienne: “I have one goal: make your booties wiggle til you drip with sweat. If you aren’t ready for a rump-shakin’ good time, bass beats that make you twerk, disco samples you have to sing along, and a whole lot of smiles, stfu what’s that all about? Come see me play anyway.

COSMO:

Cosmo is a conscious curator of beautiful sounds and spaces. He leads JajaPDX Flow Nights, inspiring DJs and Fire Dancers to grow through play and performance. He leads space design and decor of the Sacred Waters Collective, bringing a unique and sacred aesthetic to intimate dance venues that inspire transformation and deep connection to the divine.

Nate plays an eclectic style of downtempo beats across genres. His style is conscious and vibey, weaving in high-vibrational lyrics into his sets. He is also a visionary artist at the Haven Art Collective.

Nate is the space designer of the Shakti Lounge at Desi Rave, and will be creating a spectacularly immersive space.

Raman Gill, AKA Arkatekt.

This amazing artist based in Portland plays Organic, world and Ethnic, Downtempo, Afro and Deep House and mixes in some deep groovy melodic techno if it fits the night.

Outta the underground, from beaches to abandoned properties, you’re likely to find this vigilante stirring up beats creating a vibe wherever he goes. He has played and hosted events in Portland’s wildest locations. Sosa will be bringing techy house vibe with a side of deep to you.

From the primal roots of house music, Vamarcha’s musical curation transcends both language and culture, reminding us with deep and resonant “four on the floor” that we are all from one tribe. As a party organizer, Vamarcha creates playful healing spaces where dance and expression are free, people are welcomed as they are, and the walls between disparate communities can be breached. His music is an international collaboration of sound and culture, melded together with the structure of house music. Deep House, Tech House, and Techno – His sets include a mix of bass, funk, disco, acid, progressive, and tribal, blending it all into a sonic soundscape that is vast, deep, and energizing.

Born and raised in Spain, Vamarcha was introduced to electronic music at an early age, immersing himself in the dance culture of Madrid, Benidorm, and Ibiza. SAFFIRE BOUCHELION

A Professional DJ, Performer, and Percussionist. He is a 1st Degree Black Belt Nia Instructor who has been passionately practicing Nia for 25 years and teaching and performing internationally for 17 years. Ten years ago Saffire was introduced to the HandPan and it was love at first “Din”! The HandPan is pure Metal Magic.

Their very sound is alchemical in nature as metal becomes water becomes air. Their depth and range never ceases to amaze and enchant. I am so grateful for their gift to the world and seek to share that gift whenever I get the chance.

Liesel lives and works in Portland and has recently been exploring her artistic talents through henna and pyrography. Her intricate designs are inspired by the symmetry of nature and everyday patterns we see around us. Liesel is honored to participate in the tradition of henna and makes it a priority to be educated about multicultural henna studies, the long history and culture. The highlight of her work is feeling the deep and magical connection between plant and person while providing exquisite designs. Liesel truly appreciates the ability to participate in the connection and joy that henna brings to people and donates all proceeds to GiveIndia.
