DJ Prashant fell in love with New Orleans’s vibrant community in 2016, and started throwing regular dance parties in the city soon after. One of its regular attendees & a REAL friend to many in the community, Dahlak, passed away tragically this month.
It is with much sadness that we dedicate this end of year party to him as a Celebration of Life. He was kind, generous, and loved to dance; a grassroots activist, humanitarian, artist, local ambassador, and vibrant, active community member.

Prashant is an ex-Intel engineer turned DJ, choreographer, singer, and community organizer in Portland, Oregon. His personality and charisma instantly strike a chord with audiences of any age or background.
He is known for an enthralling DJ set with interactive dance lessons and performances seamlessly woven into an irresistible blend of the world’s greatest dance music. His agenda is simple – bring community and cultures together to create connections on the dance floor, and get you dancing longer, and harder than you ever thought possible!

Born in New Orleans and raised in a household where the music changed like the seasons, Pr_ck developed a style of blending the unknown. Genre-less, but focused around all things “Soul Music, since 2008, Pr_ck has been named the “DJ’s DJ” in the city.
Through hosting and performing at various parties and falling in love with club culture, Pr_ck’s selections and technique have inspired a range of amazing new DJs pushing his sound into the future. Currently, Pr_ck is the co-founder and music director of the Ascendance collective with his mentee and b2b partner DJ China as well as three other talented amazing artist entrepreneurs of color.
Through this collective and its monthly zodiac-themed events, Pr_ck has created an inclusive, genre-bending experience that is one of a kind in the city of New Orleans.
