RAGHAV:

Raghav Mathur (born April 2, 1981), known professionally as RAGHAV, is a Canadian singer. He has released three studio albums: the debut Storyteller in 2004, Identity in 2009, and The Phoenix in 2012. His most known commercial success was with “Angel Eyes” which peaked at number 7 in the UK in 2005.

Over the years Raghav has lent his voice to Bollywood movie soundtracks such as the song ‘Ishq Shava’ in the movie ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.

2022 saw his timeless classic dance song ‘Teri Baton Main’ revived on Instagram and Tik Tok with over 18 million reels by creators across the world.

Founder of Jai Ho! Dance Party (2010) & Dance United (2017), Prashant is an Ex-Intel engineer turned Choreographer & DJ based out of Portland, Oregon.

His effervescent personality & charisma instantly strike a chord with audiences of all ages & backgrounds. Prashant regularly performs across the United States moving masses to an interactive open format DJ set featuring an irresistible blend of the world’s greatest dance music.The interactive dance lessons cleverly disguised in his performance compel everybody to rock the dance floor, transforming any dance party into a full-fledged Bollywood musical within minutes.

Annwesha Sengupta is a trained hip-hop , jazz and bollywood dancer. She has been dancing for 17 years now and has been coached by established Bollywood choreographers in Mumbai. In Seattle, she leads her own dance training classes and has choreographed and directed over 50 Youtube Dance Productions. She describes “Dance” as her ultimate form of expression and passion. ????

We know this does not apply to you because you are awesome but for the other people to whom it may be relevant, we have zero tolerance for bigotry, racist remarks, and generally reckless behavior including but not limited to fighting, inappropriate touch, etc.

Anyone found engaging in such behavior will be thrown out at once & may never be able to attend our dance parties again.

║Jai Ho! in Seattle║

Prashant moved to the US from India in 2003 for graduate school at Cornell University and started DJing, teaching dance + hosting events after quitting a full-time job at Intel back in 2009.

Since then, he has traveled regularly across the west coast, Denver, and New Orleans putting on MAD AWESOME dance parties creating and fostering communities centered around celebrating world music & dance with a focus on South Asian culture.

We started Bollywood nights in Seattle back in 2010. From 2011-2013 we held a monthly party at the iconic Chop Suey nightclub in Capitol Hill. Since 2014, we have been hosting a popping regular party at Nectar Lounge in the Fremont neighborhood.
