Originally from Mumbai, India, Prashant is an ex-Intel engineer turned DJ and community organizer based out of Portland, Oregon. He founded Jai Ho! Dance Party in 2010 and Dance United in 2017, and tours them at nightclubs across the US on a regular basis.
Prashant’s effervescent personality and charisma instantly strike a chord with an audience of any age group or background. He is known for an open format DJ set highlighted by interactive dance lessons that compel everybody to rock the dance floor to an irresistible blend of the world’s greatest dance music.
Expect a dance party he is at to transform into a full-fledged Bollywood musical complete with synchronized dance moves by all attendees.

Founded in the year 2018 in Seattle by a group of enthusiasts with passion for Indian beats. Team Shiva enthralls audiences with Dhol-Tasha, which is the traditional LIVE band, and an Integral part of any festival music of India.

ANNWESHA & SHRREYA (SATURDAY)
Annwesha and Shrreya are bringing together their love for Bollywood on this special Neon Holi event with Holi-themed songs that will take us back to India❤️
Annwesha Sengupta is a trained hip-hop, jazz and Bollywood dancer. She has been dancing for 17 years now and has been coached by established Bollywood choreographers in Mumbai. In Seattle, she leads her own dance training classes and has choreographed and directed over 50 Youtube Dance Productions. She describes “Dance” as her ultimate form of expression and passion. ????
Shrreyaa is a Belly dancer based in Seattle. She started her dance journey since the age of 3 with Kathak. Over the years, she’s experimented with many different dance forms performing and representing India all over the world. She describes her dance journey as a lifelong love affair of growing, creating and expressing joyful movements.
Shrreya is super stoked to bring her signature fusion of Bolly-Belly dancing to everyone!

At Neon Holi, the Festival of Colors in Seattle we celebrate the coming of spring, the joy of friendship, and equality for all. All nationalities and ethnicities are encouraged to participate!
The Nightclub Holi portion of Jai Ho! Dance Party is a creation of our founder DJ Prashant who first experimented with bringing color powder inside the Chop Suey nightclub in March 2011 in Capitol Hill. Every year since then it has sold out in advance. Make sure to grab your tickets & come prepared to get bedazzled at the wildest most colorful party in town, complete with that Bollywood flair.

☾ JAI HO! IN SEATTLE
Prashant moved to the US from India in 2003 for graduate school at Cornell University and started DJing, teaching dance + hosting events after quitting a full-time job at Intel back in 2009.
Since then, he has traveled regularly across the west coast, Denver, and New Orleans putting on MAD AWESOME dance parties creating and fostering communities centered around celebrating world music & dance with a focus on South Asian culture.
We started Bollywood nights in Seattle back in 2010. From 2011-2013 we held a monthly party at the iconic Chop Suey nightclub in Capitol Hill. Since 2014, we have been hosting a popping regular party at Nectar Lounge in the Fremont neighborhood.
