Originally from Mumbai, India, Prashant is an ex-Intel engineer turned DJ and community organizer based out of Portland, Oregon. He founded Jai Ho! Dance Party in 2010 and Dance United in 2017, and tours them at nightclubs across the US on a regular basis.

Prashant’s effervescent personality and charisma instantly strike a chord with an audience of any age group or background. He is known for an open format DJ set highlighted by interactive dance lessons that compel everybody to rock the dance floor to an irresistible blend of the world’s greatest dance music.

Expect a dance party he is at to transform into a full-fledged Bollywood musical complete with synchronized dance moves by all attendees.

BELLA DIVA

Founded in 2010, and directed by founder Caitlin Brozna-Smith, Bella Diva World Dance is a Denver-based international dance company that offers both instructional Bollywood dance classes and professional-themed Bollywood performances. Their mission is to empower women with a greater sense of self-confidence and body positivity through the expression and study of world dance. Bella Diva believes dance is for every BODY, age, orientation, and background where students are able to shed weight from within and without. Seeking to elevate intercultural dance styles to performance art while creating a community for their dancers to be part of, Bella Diva offers a truly unique dance experience.

KAYLA BANKS

KAYLA BANKS (Afro-Native non-enrolled Choctaw and Creek Freeman and Eastern European is a choreographer, dancer, and actor from Denver, Colorado where she received her B.A. in Performing Arts and Business Administration from Colorado State University. She is currently in NYC with the José Limón Launchpad Pro Training program. She trained in classical ballet, and Vaganova technique under Carol Roderick and The Portland Ballet school/teacher training. She has trained with NW Dance Project, Cleo Parker Robinson, and at the International Blacks in Dance Conference. She has danced professionally with Impact Dance Company, Cleo Parker Robinson, and Dancing Earth Indigenous Contemporary Dance Creations. She has performed in an original work by Anya Pearson in New York City at The Public Theater under the choreographic direction of Emily Bufferd.
