✅ Bollywood Thriller is a fusion choreography & a killer Jai Ho! Dance Party hosted by DJ Prashant.
✅ Students will learn this fun & energetic choreography in a 2-hour workshop! They will then have the opportunity to perform it at various venues/events in Portland, Colorado, Los Angeles, and Seattle!
1 additional hour of an optional video shooting after the workshop! ????
✅ You will leave each workshop having learned the full choreography & a link to step-by-step practice videos.

BOLLYWOOD THRILLER POP-UP PERFORMANCE FROM 2016:
CONCEPT:
Imagine an Indian wedding gone awry as the joyful celebration takes a turn for the worst with a blast that transforms all attendees into zombies, smack in the middle of the rituals! This is the dropback on which choreographer & DJ Prashant set the Bollywood Thriller dance with help from Jai Ho! Dance Troupe lead Brittany Newton. What started in 2011 as a performance to a musical mashup of a Bollywood wedding song & Michael Jackson’s Thriller has transformed into a sub-culture over the years.
WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING?
Dress in comfortable clothes that you might wear to workout or a yoga class, we will be sweating a lot so make sure to stay hydrated before, during & after class.
We have a water fountain, so feel free to bring your own bottle.

The stars have finally aligned for us to celebrate both the light & the dark together. Since Halloween & Diwali are happening within a week of each other, this year we are combining our infamous BOLLYWOOD THRILLER costume party (est. 2011) with India’s most popular festival, Diwali.

Originally from Mumbai, India, Prashant is an ex-Intel engineer turned DJ and community organizer based out of Portland, Oregon. He founded Jai Ho! Dance Party in 2010 and Dance United in 2017, and tours them at nightclubs across the US on a regular basis.
Prashant’s effervescent personality and charisma instantly strike a chord with an audience of any age group or background. He is known for an open format DJ set highlighted by interactive dance lessons that compel everybody to rock the dance floor to an irresistible blend of the world’s greatest dance music.
Expect a dance party he is at to transform into a full-fledged Bollywood musical complete with synchronized dance moves by all attendees.
